Kenzo has just released the images featuring its pre-fall collection for 2015.
“For our pre-fall 2015 collection for Kenzo we explore the legacy of a tribe, individuality as a community and the celebration of a following. we observe symbolism as a language and look at how utilitarian aspects act as a nod to survival and protection. The collection is founded on hieroglyphics, cult symbols, spiritual signs and unyielding craft elements.
Orange wool Melton trenchcoats have a blanket stitch finishing and are juxtaposed against faux fur jacquards and lazer-cut, hand-painted shearling bombers.
Prints in sprays stripes and magnified multicolored crystal offer a peek into the new age. exaggerated bombers in duchess satin and down parkas with colored fur trims provide warmth over traditional draping and cut lines and panels on tops and dresses. Volumes and layering on dresses and skirts are exemplified by graphic knots. the functional plays with the aesthetic on the orange and khaki rain boots and fur clogs. For accessories Kenzo’s hand-laced ‘piercing’ bag is joined by the new studded suede or leather ‘bike bag’ in muted winter tones of prune, green or black. “
