The Concept Room on via Gesù 10, Milan, hosted to UMAN, on January 11th – the most exclusive menswear lovers’ club founded by Umberto Angeloni in 2009. Since then, roughly every 6 months, when the sector’s experts meet in Milan, a small group of fans – international journalists, opinion leaders, lovers – are invited by word-of-mouth, without too much ado and off the official agendas, to discuss about controversial issues concerning men’s style evolution.
They come a few at a time, as if wishing to go unnoticed, they ring the bell of the Atelier and, once they go through that ordinary looking door, they enter an estranging and rarefied ambiance, where they feel anything can happen, and where the culture and the passion for men’s wear are fostered.
After the silhouette, the landing point of men’s suits in the past 200 years, here come the iconic jackets inspired by the passions of European gentlemen, who travel and are familiar with the use and custom from all over the world.
In January 2014 one of these jackets called CANADA MACK, inspired by the Mackinaw jacket, a classic for winters in North America but also perfect for cold and rainy winters in Milan’s fashion district, gave place to a capsule of unique items.
