Viktor&Rolf’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection deconstructs cocktail and eveningwear. Bodies and skirts of glamorous dresses are dissected and randomly cut up, generating a new interpretation on detailing and unexpected silhouettes.

A raw sense of movement is created through voluminous layers of asymmetric and free flowing ruffles and volants. Luxurious fabrics form a nod to eveningwear with the use of mainly abstract jacquards in dark hues, accented with lurex. A black and white section translates the concept into tuxedo inspired looks. Fall/Winter 2015’s shoes are flat or low heeled and crafted in the same fabrics as the garments.

Photographed in a salon draped in grey felt, this season’s presentation hints to the traditional catwalk show. By omitting the entrance of the models and instead focusing only on their exit, a surreal touch is enforced, staying true to the designer’s signature style. With this final curtain, Viktor&Rolf bow out from Ready-to-Wear.
